Also this year, together with Nestor Security, we had the honor of organizing BSides Groningen. BSides is a community-driven platform, created by and for members of the cybersecurity community. The goal is to broaden the spectrum of conversation beyond the traditional boundaries of conferences, thus creating a space where knowledge exchange, collaboration, and a sense of community are paramount.
Following the success of BSides Groningen 2025, our ambition was to bring together at least 150 people from the infosec community this year. And together, we easily surpassed that. This year's event welcomed approximately 230 attendees, and we received over 80 talk submissions from across the cybersecurity sector. The enthusiasm and engagement of the community exceeded all expectations.
The day consisted of four special tracks full of inspiring sessions, practical insights, and hands-on experiences:
- Technical track
- Governance & Compliance track
- AI-track
- Workshop track
From technical deep dives to discussions on governance, compliance, and the changing role of AI within cybersecurity: the program offered something for everyone. But even more importantly, the event created space for people to make connections—whether it was meeting new faces, catching up with familiar ones, or exchanging ideas with fellow cybersecurity enthusiasts.
