Meet: Office Manager Birgit

Graduate and now?

My name is Birgit, 22 years old and since October 2022 I am office manager at Warpnet. Last summer I moved to the city from Harkstede and completed my studies in Facility Management. The study is always considered very broad and that is definitely true! After graduating, I didn't know exactly what I was looking for. But I did know that three points were important to me in my future job: variety, a small company and personal contact.

I finally found these three key points at Warpnet. The company itself was unknown to me and the IT industry was not necessarily where I was looking for my new job. But the vacancy immediately appealed to me and after an initial interview I was told that I could start working as an office manager. A challenge for me, but certainly with many opportunities to learn. And I took that challenge with both hands!

Work and a look to the future

My duties as office manager fit well with my studies, as they are very versatile. My main responsibilities are the office and its facilities. I am also the contact person for colleagues and I am involved in the recruitment of new colleagues. My responsibilities also include HR and administration.

In the coming weeks I will be especially busy organizing our move to the new premises in Haren. My goal is to have this run smoothly and well, so that everyone will soon be sitting in the new office with a satisfied feeling. A nice first big challenge!

I have been with Warpnet for four months now and the time has flown by. I certainly don't regret my choice. The great atmosphere among my colleagues makes me feel very much at home at Warpnet. In the coming months I hope to learn a lot and develop myself further and further. I am looking forward to my further career within Warpnet!
