In 2025, Warpnet had the honor of working with Nestor Security the organization of BSides Groningen take on. BSides is a global, community-driven event that is all about sharing knowledge, insights and discoveries within the world of cybersecurity. It is a place where professionals, researchers and enthusiasts come together to learn, inspire and connect.

After several years of absence from the Netherlands, BSides finally returned to our country. From iconic locations such as Las Vegas and New York, the conference found its way to the north of the Netherlands. And with success: BSides Groningen was an inspiring event.

We were allowed such150 cybersecurity professionalswelcome and received no less than40 lecture submissions. In the end, we were only able to select 8 for the program. In addition to the lectures, there was plenty of room for interaction and challenge, includingCapture the Flag (CTF) challengesand alockpicking village.

BSides Groningen provided a powerful platform for knowledge sharing, networking and strengthening the sense of community among cybersecurity enthusiasts. We proudly look back on a successful event and thank all participants, speakers and volunteers who made it possible.
