Internship at Warpnet

We do not offer internships for the period from September 2020 to February 2021.

If you are well versed in Linux and TCP / IP, can do a little programming and are interested in security, then an internship with us might be something for you.

Internship at Warpnet

If you do an internship with us, we expect you to have a suitable laptop with Linux (or macOS, BSD or another Unix variant), we do not work with Windows. Warpnet does not pay an internship fee. However, you do not have to do anything for customers, you do not have to man a help desk, assemble hardware, etc. You are here purely to learn things and possibly participate in creating security labs.

You will receive lessons / guidance from experienced security people, we put a lot of time and effort into it. We expect trainees to seize this opportunity with both hands and to learn a lot in the months that they are with us.

Procedure

You can apply for an internship with us by sending us a resume by email. Please state in the email what your experience is with Linux, TCP / IP, programming and security and why you would like to do an internship at Warpnet. Based on your resume and email, we assess whether you are suitable to be invited for an assessment.

If you are invited to this, you will be tested on your knowledge and skills together with other candidates. After the assessment we will offer the most suitable candidates an internship. There are always more applications than internships, but even if you are not selected, the assessment can be very fun and educational. Moreover, after the assessment, we have a final interview with everyone in which we often give tips on how to develop further. So sign up!

If you are being taught ethical hacking at school, ask your teacher if he / she knows Warpnet. If so, try to get a reference from that teacher that you can mention in your application. In any case, there are teachers at Noorderpoort and Alfa College who know us well.

Statement of Good Behaviour

For an internship at Warpnet, a VOG is required (Statement of Good Behaviour). Warpnet will request this for you. You must then advance the costs yourself (costs +/- € 35), but you will be reimbursed for these costs if you submit a declaration. If for some reason you cannot receive a positive statement, then you cannot do an internship with us. This will only be the case if you have done something criminal that is related to our field of work.
